Latest Transfer Rumour - Newcastle United's defender Sebastian Bassong may leave Newcastle for Arsenal this May. He has performed well since arriving from Metz last summer and managed to impress Arsene Wenger's attention.
The 22-year-old defender haven't agreed on the contract extension yet. He is still thinking about his future, maybe with Arsenal.
In an interview with The Sun, Bassong said, "Newcastle want me to sign a contract extension but nothing has yet been agreed."
He said that he is still thinking the advantages and disadvantages of the deal. He will take his time to make up his mind.
"I heard people talk about Arsenal being interested in me. I’m not too bothered about whether it is fact or fiction," Bassong added.
He did not denied the possibility leaving Newcastle for Arsenal. Bassong said, "I know that there must be something in it, even though this is not the time to talk about it."
