Latest Transfer Rumours - Manchester United have to buy Carlos Tevez for £32million if they wish to have him plays for the club next season. They are not allowed to extend Tevez's loan at the club due to the new regulations introduced by the Premier League last June.
Tevez is in a two-year loan deal which will expire at the end of the season.
A new rule was forced last June. The rule forbids similar loan arrangements where players are owned by third parties and not a club. Tevez is still owned by his agent Kia Joorabchian.
A Premier League spokesman explained to The Sun, "He would not be eligible to play under the new rules on third-party ownership we introduced in June."
"But the rules are not applied retrospectively so he can play for United under his two-year loan arrangement from 2007."
Looks like they have to buy him out to keep him at the club next season. Maybe they can use the money they save for Benzema.
