Avram Grant is set to be appointed as Portsmouth's manager if Sven Goran Eriksson does not get fired by Mexico this week.
Grant was the technical director of football at Portsmouth for a year from June 2006. Grant is still a favourite to the Portsmouth's fans. A survey conducted earlier this week found out that 60% in favor of Grant to be appointed as Portsmouth's manager.
Portsmouth also approaches Eriksson. Eriksson has come under pressure after Mexico only managed to won once in the last six games. Last night defeat again Mexico may cause him his job.
Eventhough Eriksson clearly stated that he is more interested in international duty, Portsmouth is still keen to hire him. They are willing to offer him 40000 a week and 1milloion bonus if he can keep Portsmouth in BPL.
