Latest Transfer Rumour - Scott Parker has signed a new long term deal with Premier League side, West Ham. The contract is until the end of 2012/13 season. Parker said that he is happy to stay at a club where his service is needed.
In an interview with the club's official website Parker said, "I am very happy, pleased and excited, especially after all the speculation in the transfer window that I can now put that to rest and sign a new-long term contract."
In January, there were rumours saying that Parker will be sold due to current credit crunch. The extension of Pareker's contract has also denied rumours saying that West Ham is in crisis.
"This shows that West Ham are in a position to keep their players when others want them and as a player and for the fans, that is a great thing," Parker said.
He is even more delighted to sign a new cotract after Gianfranco Zola showed that he believe in Parker. "The manager showed a real desire to keep me. He sees me as a massive part of the squad and that meant a lot to me, especially when there were things being written everywhere. So I am delighted to sign," Parker said.
